Welcome to the AMANDA Mainz meeting. On this page we have collected information that should be helpful for your travel to Mainz as well as other links to help make you feel comfortable. We decided to base the meeting in the center of town. The Institute for Early History kindly offered to act as host and supplied us with a meeting room in an old baroque building (which has seen better days ...). This should make it easier to get something to eat during AMANDA-typical short lunch breaks. You will be lodging at different hotels at various locations; most of the hotels should be walking distance to the institute. We will contact those of you who will have to use a bus or a street car to get to the meeting place. We arranged for a group dinner at a winery in a small village outside of town, accessible after a short train ride. The conference will be 150 DM, including the group dinner with all drinks. We will only be able to accept cash.
